Hi Madeline! I know I am going to have a hard time being brief here so I apologize for that. :) If I could use only one word to describe your books it would be "Beautiful!" Beautiful covers and inserts, beautifully written stories and beautiful, unrushed endings! Your style of writing has the perfect blend of everything I look for in a good historical romance. Wonderful main characters with plenty of depth to them as well as the secondary characters, great scenes and descriptions, a bit of history, (so I can actually learn something and enjoy it too!) and most important of all--a beautiful, tender love story that is at the heart of everything and pulls the story together perfectly! :) I have read many historical romances, but rarely do I find an author as wonderful as you. Your stories are written so exquisitely that I feel you take historical romance to a level that very few authors manage to aspire to. The reader cannot help but become part of your stories and they make for a wonderful escape which we all need at times. May God Bless you for sharing your gift of writing with us, (your appreciative readers) and I look very forward to reading your next book coming out later this summer. Yes, it is hard to wait, but I don't want to rush a good thing! :) Some things are worth waiting for! I hope you will continue writing many more books and I can assure you I will be collecting every single one as a KEEPER! THANK YOU, MADELINE! Always, Ann

I re-read By Design last night to prep for Stealing Heaven. Premature, I know, but I'm excited about Mark's story. This Mark is the same Mark who appears as Joan's little brother in By Design, right? After what you did with Ian, from The Protector to Lord of A Thousand Nights, I'm eager to see Mark now that he's matured a bit. Counting down the days...

I have just read your book Lord Of A Thousand Nights and thoroughly enjoyed it - it is the first book I have read written by you and I am dying to get my hands on the rest. David & Christiana certainly sound like they have a great history and the warrior woman Anna and her husband Morvan seem to have quite a past as well - the only difficulty I can see is trying to get them through our local book shops -I'm not sure of availablity but hopefully I will be able to get copies soon.

I love your books so much! They really feel like real characters to me. It is amazing how you make them come alive. I have been reading romance novels for 15 years and you have written a couple of my most favorite novels of all time. My favorite of your novels is "By Arrangement". It is up their with Kathleen Woodiwiss's "Flame and the Flower" or "Wolf and The Dove". Thank you sooo much for giving me this wonderful reading experience! I am totally head over heels about David. Dear Ms. Hunter, your work is compelling, memorable, erotic & emotional. Thank you for writing just what I, so many of us, have sought: an historical romance with the feel of a movie and the appeal of family history. You have a gift for turning your characters' flaws into their most fascinating features, and making those features metaphors. I could write so much more, but thank you for Addis & Moira. I'm sure my husband thanks you, too! Also, have you ever read "How the Irish Saved Civilization" by Thomas Cahill? You might really get a kick out of it. Again, many thanks! I'll be reaching for each new work and having a tough time putting it down!
[P.S. Got hooked on your work because of "By Possession." The name "Moira" caught my eye at a re-sale counter, and the history in your plot parallels my family's own... We can trace our members to the 1300's and before.]

Hi. I am enjoying your first three books which I was compelled to read after reading 'The Protector'.
I am a mother of four, finishing my BA in history at UTEP, and starting my MA in history at UTEP in January. I am also an aspiring writer with dozens of plots in my head. I can finally afford to take the time to put them to paper, and am doing so. Any words of wisdom and encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Though I gravitate toward time travel romance (I think out of my desire to experience the time without being from the time), your expertise is an inspiration. Thank you.

Just finished proofreading STEALING HEAVEN--another fabulous story.(I'm lucky. I got to proof THE PROTECTOR and LORD OF A THOUSAND NIGHTS,too.) I can't wait until it comes out in August so I can snap up a copy for myself. It's nice to know Mark's story and to see how he's grown and matured since he appeared in BY DESIGN. And of course David's there in his cameo role. I think David is my favorite male character just about for all time--certainly for any romance I've read. Whose story is next? Elizabeth? Sieg? Elizabeth and Sieg? Although they are such dissimilar people. Whoever it is, I can't wait to read it.

I stayed up way too late last night finishing Lord of a Thousand Nights, reading it from start to finish. All your other titles have been "keepers" for me so I knew I would enjoy your latest story, but I had no idea just how much Ian and Reyna's story would entertain me. I was delightfully surprised that this man, who I thought was a twerp in The Protector, could turn out to be such an appealing, multi-layered character. Reyna was also a breath of fresh air, with attractive qualities like Christiana and Anna, but also with her own marked differences, not at all a recycled character. This story was such a nice follow up to By Arrangement and The Protector. I loved all the twists and turns and added mystery in this one. Very much looking forward to Stealing Heaven. You write with such passion and accuracy, a rare combination these days.

I've read By Arrangement, Possession and Design. A friend and I trade books. She has By Design. When I went to Borders,I saw and bought The Protector because I enjoyed your other books. Yet, while reading it I was confused about Morvan Fitzwaryn's character. I knew his name seemed familiar, yet I could not place him. Also I didn't have the other books, because I had passed them on to a friend. So, that's what brings me to your website. Here I have been reminded that Morvan is Christiana's brother, from By Design. Now I can continue to read The Protector, with a better understanding. I will begin Lord of a Thousand Nights ASAP. Please include some type of linkage of characters, from cover to cover, for forgetful readers like myself. I read several books per month, from several different authors. I am pleased to add you to my list.

I love Lord of a Thousand Nights!! I love all the books in this series, but in this book it was so much fun to read about the characters from the other stories. I particularly
enjoy the banter from Morvan, David and Ian about the ladies, as well as that between Reyna and Ian. You really make me laugh. This book has humor, fun, wit, romance, suspense....EVERYTHING!! I can't wait for the next book! Thanks hours of pleasure!

I actually came across the book "Lord of a Thousand Nights" while browsing the tables in my local Barnes & Noble bookstore. It was on a table in the middle of an aisle with the title "Curl up with a good book." I read the description on the back, and it seemed to look like it was worth reading. I didn't know that it was a novel that has those nearly naked people on the fist page after the cover, but the lady at the register opened it, because she was an avid reader of romance novels, and pointed it out. I almost put it back, because those books don't appeal to me, but I didn't and decided once again, it was worth a try. I finished the book yesterday, after only 2 days, and I loved it. I will be sure to share it with my friend, and I can't wait to go back to B&N to get another book. Thanks for writing such a wonderful novel. I think I may just go and read it again.

I've just finished reading "Lord of a thousand Nights", and I feel the way I felt when I completed the readings of your past novels, ready for more. There really are not many capable romance writers on the market, but you are one that will have your books adorn my shelves. I await your next book and congratulate you on your success!

I've just finished Lord last night, and again, I'm drawn to the intriguing plot and degree of historical accuracy invested in it. I read both historical romance and romantic historicals so I really appreciate the extensive research you must have done to ensure that your novels are as historically accurate as possible, while injecting a bit of sizzling romance and fictional characters to make them compelling and vivid. I can't wait till "Stealing" makes it appearance in August. You've got me hooked!

I have enjoyed your excellent research and marvelous stories.I really like novels that have a thread of continuity as yours do.Jo Beverly is another favorite of mine.I really feel if an author writes in the historical genre a very serioys attempt should be made to be authentic, when they are as sucessful as you in doing this, the story is much better for it.As I'm sure you know,we readers finish the book in about one or two days, since most take a bit longer to write we usually reread our choices that can "hold up".Your stories are permanent in my collection.Best Wishes.Ellen

Just finished reading "The Protector" and like your first three books, it kept me reading and reading until I reached the last page. I will be starting LORD next. I already know I will love and enjoy it!
I also enjoyed your "History Page" and I will be coming back for more background info. I love reading (regency and) medieval romances. Thank you for writing them - you have become one of my auto-buy authors since your first book. I am looking forward to the next, and August, 2002 seems eons away...

I love your books. When I am reading them its like watching a movie. I can't put them down once I start reading one. I wish I could write like you, I have the ideas but when It comes to writing I just can't find the words to write what I feel or am thinking about. Have you ever thought about makeing your books into movies? If you did I 'd be right ther to watch them over and over again.

I finished "Lord of a Thousand Nights" this weekend. WOW! I think it's my favorite so far (Though Morvan and Anna's story is a very strong second.) Not only was it a very strong story but it allowed us to visit David, Christiana, Morvan and Anna and catch up on their lives. I find it hard to believe that you are going to be able to top this one, but I eagerly anticipate your next book just to see you do it!

Madeline has done it again! "LOATN" was wonderful, I felt like I was right there with Ian and Reyna. I love the way characters from other books are major parts of the novel. You feel as if you are catching up with them...visiting old friends. As always, I will be eagerly be awaiting other works to come out!

Hi! I just want to let you know how much I enjoy reading and re-reading your books. I have got only 3 of your books since they are a bit hard to come by here in my country. I'm thinking of looking for a bookstore that takes special orders so I can have a complete set of your books. I love the way you describe and express the emotions in your writing. The historical detailing is amazingly accurate and it truly transports a reader to the time and setting. Please keep up the great work and keep on writing wonderful stories for us. Happy New Year!!! =)
